Product description
In 1962, Rita Moreno became the first Latina to win an Academy Award for her performance in West Side Story. Rita was one of the few artists of color to reach mainstream audiences on the big screen, the stage, and on television in the pre-Civil Rights era. She became known for being outspoken about the stereotypes of Latinas in Hollywood. We honor and appreciate her 70-year career representing us on stage and screen.
